Here's the last serving of "pease porridge" (9 months old), fourth of the stand-alone vignettes from "Contingencies", originally published on LiveJournal on December 24, 2006. Not terribly seasonal at the present moment, but given that stores are already putting out Christmas gear by me, perhaps not that far off the mark in the greater scheme of things.
